Modern Organic Bathroom

A re-do of a 1970s bathroom brought to life with a calming Organic feel to it.
The client liked Modern but also Organic looks. We combined the two themes and came up with this finished product. You may need to go to the Ex L size of pictures to view full details in some of the shots. The formats are not perfect.

Questions1
In person this wallpaper is perfect for our Organic theme. It is very textured and really looks like sand with an occasional shell sparkle in it however still subtle. We got it from Walnut on Beverly Blvd. Framed shell piece was from Williams Sonoma Home store.
Re-use of original cupboard.

We kept the original Cupboard but sanded and painted it with an industrial Matt sheen in a Taupe-y Gray color. The color does not really show well in this picture. Abalone shell cupboard handles used in keeping with the same crushed shells throughout the Custom syndicrete counter top.

In this shot ( bath still in progress ) you can see the the simple chrome shower curtain rod we had made that suspends from the ceiling as well as the Glass extension of the pony wall that really opened the space up. Jut on the other side of glass wall we used the American Clay product on the wall and ceilings continued the Modern Organic feeling in this bath.

Questions0
This house had Oak traditional doors and we were changing it to a Modern-ish look. So we simply added a Veneer piece of wood ( I forget what type ) and stained it with 2 different shades to get the look we wanted and to continue with the Organic theme. A simple squarish door trim replaced the Original Traditional door trim.

The before 1970's bath with its Green carpet and Gray tiles and plain mirror. Had comfort at one time but lacked that extra pizzazz.. Also felt smaller until we took down one tiled shower wall and replaced with a simple glass pony wall.
