Rabbit Run
by Cory Spencer Partners
Situated on nearly five acres in Farmington Rabbit Run was truly a
diamond in the rough when Cory Spencer Partners found it in 2004. The
first task was a complete renovation of a 1950's era ranch style home to
create basic living quarters with a central living and dining room which
would soon serve as a hub for entertaining throughout the property. With
the house complete, Cory Spencer Partners soon set their sights on
clearing three acres of kudzu and derelict outbuildings to make way for
a new garden that would provide new outdoor rooms and gathering spaces.
The new garden includes water features, a dining pavilion, privy, garden
sheds and other amenities that invite gracious outdoor living. Recrafted
and completely transformed, Rabbit Run was featured in The Garden Club
of Virginia's 2011 annual garden week and now stands as an example of
thoughtful design for living
