Hayes Valley Apartment

by McElroy Architecture, AIA
This apartment on an urban corner was previously a series of shadowy rooms built in the 1890s. A full remodel with modifications to the plan and a new wall of windows in the kitchen capture and fill the rooms with light. The finishes reflect modern living with toned-down accents of the building’s history. A sidewalk landscaping planter added a spot of green at the street entry.
