Divine Kitchen Details
In this kitchen renovation, it's the added touches that make this space truly magnificent. We dressed up a plain ceiling with decorative false beams and beaded boards. A large island was designed to house electricity so that appliances hidden within the cabinetry on pop-up shelves could always be on and readily available. Custom designed and built arched mullions, made by a local craftsman, were incorporated into the glass cabinet doors. This design element was also repeated in the custom-built arched entryway between the kitchen and family room. A beautiful white fireclay apron front sink was selected to complement the style of the space. Finally, granite was selected in Cabernet Brown with a leather finish, instead of a polished surface, to add warmth and tie in the color scheme.
