This customer wanted to combine elements of a large, open chef’s kitchen with the comforts of home. In order to construct a bigger space for all the amenities the homeowner most wanted, we removed two walls and relocated the laundry area between the kitchen and dining room, installed a recessed beam in the ceiling, and opened up the space between the kitchen and den. The desire for a larger island required the installation of additional footers, columns and a girder beneath the floor for support. Large gliding patio doors and recessed lighting, along with dimmable LED light strips were added to brighten the space. Granite countertops and a tile backsplash in warm colors were chosen to compliment the stained cherry cabinets. A professional gas range, two wine refrigerators and other top notch appliances completed this kitchen.
