Basement Remodel in 100-year-old Traditional Home in Coeur d'Alene ID

The basement was gutted and remodeled in this 100-year-old traditional home in Coeur d’Alene. Edwards Smith Construction incorporated authentic trim detail & double columns found elsewhere in the house when designing the new space. Coffered ceiling served both a decorative and practical purpose - helping secure loads from above that were failing. The concept for the brick wall installed near the shuffleboard table was inspired by a few vintage spots of brick revealed when the paneling was removed. The owner wanted a fun space to hang out. Mission accomplished! Check out more pics on our website (http://www.edwardssmith.com/) in the Gallery - Remodels section.
