This family LOVES the beach! It's evident from the moment you walk in the front door... from the shells popping out of the large, glass jar on the entry hall chest to the soft, blues and mints covering the walls.
Holidays are spent in Destin or nearby every year, and being from Mississippi it's no wonder!
... is a school teacher who loves antiques, flea markets and estate sales. She is even known to hop in the car on lunch break and scout for sales during a teaching day.

The breakfast table started as an old, oak table which was hardly large enough for all 5 plus company to sit around. Shelly had a carpenter build a new top for the base, and the edges were mitered out to give the rather plain plywood detail. It looks like the table was made this way and she then painted the whole table her cool, blue color.
