Sea Captain's house - new kitchen addition

A new 15' x 16' addition houses a lovely new kitchen complete with the most up-to-date appliances yet still retains the feel of the period home. Access to the private gardens in the rear was a special consideration. The old kitchen was turned into a cozy built-in banquette to provide seating alternatives to the new island.
Main Street
Clever use of windows in backsplash to admit light but maintain privacy. The window behind the gas cooktop is inoperable and is both boxed out and surrounded by tile to abide by building codes.

Wet Bar
wet bar gets rejuvenated with new cabinets and marble countertop. Existing wine ref. is boxed in such a way as to accept a new larger unit should the old one fail.
