Newbold-White House Restoration, NC

Restored with the assistance of state and federal restoration grants in the 1970s when I worked for the North Carolina Division of Archives & History. I designed and drew up the paneling based on the existing original paneling on the 2nd floor, and designed the windows based on evidence visible on the original window frames.

Exterior. As an NC Archives & History staff member I served as design consultant on restoring missing elements, including the windows and 1st floor paneling. The window frames are original and had nail marks which suggested the casement sash design. The size of the glass quarrels was based on glass fragments found during archeology at the site.
