NYC Terrace Deck: Roof Garden, Pergola, Bench, Outdoor Dining, Chaise Lounges

We designed this contemporary roof deck in TriBeCa with custom planters, a pergola to provide much needed shade, horizontal fencing, a stainless steel heat lamp to keep warm on cool nights, and metal-trimmed furniture. For the custom-built wood elements in this garden, we used an opaque tan paint. The benefit to using a solid paint color instead of a stain is that it doesn't have to be re-applied every year, and it helps preserve the wood for much longer.
