This is the party room at pool level basement. Stained concrete floor in funky colors, stairs have travertine slab treads and backlit slab onyx risers.

This was an ugly early 1980's brick fireplace. I removed the built-in and made it an art niche. I left the brick but covered it with 1/2" osb and painted it black. I then cut 1/4" birch into matrix panels and fabricated a mantle with the three of the four colors of entry stone for continuity.
