Alder Springs Ranch

Complete with local stone and native woods, this house is a reflection of the serenity and unencumbered feeling afforded on this ranch of 5,000 acres. Springing from the humble roots of the original ranch dwelling, the new construction wrapped itself around the older home. The result is a home that, while not austere, maintains a sense of gracious simplicity. Both the stone and the interior madrone wood were from local sources, fulfilling a major tenet of sustainable building.
