With an old master bathroom that was undersized and chopped up into inefficient and disparate pieces, the client wanted an addition to house the spa-like bath of their dreams. The new bathroom moved the vanities from an open dressing area into the proper bathroom, and dressed up each with vertically-mounted, incandescent sconces for warm, even light, and quartz countertops with dramatic waterfall sides. A long, textured, floor-to-ceiling tile wall with a glass mosaic tile-backed display niche extended dramatically from outside to inside the shower. The pebble tile stripes along the floor and lit toe space beneath the bamboo cabinets emphasized the generous dimensions of the new bath and provided additional texture and warmth to the sleek space. A series of tall cabinets with frosted glass doors provided ample storage without blocking views into the backyard.
