Award Winning Historic District Bungalow Renovation

On a somewhat limited budget this Historic District project took an aged and poorly maintained house, reinvigorating and expanding it. The house has maintained the scale of the street while dramatically enhancing its livability. The demolition of the rear of the house made room for the addition. This created a new covered side entry porch off the driveway. It created new open interior living space which includes the kitchen, dining, two-story family room, small office and stair as well as the second floor master and porch. This expansion also allowed the creation of a full width covered rear porch that expands living space into the rear yard. This project received a 2014 Chrysalis Award and a 2014 Professional Remodeler Design Award.
