Hunting and Fishing Cabin

Hefferlin + Kronenberg Architects designed a private hunting and fishing lodge on the Cumberland Plateau for a family retreat. The cabin sits beside a quiet lake on a private nature preserve, and we designed the structure to reflect the stillness and openness of the land it rests on. Large open windows, screened-in porches, stone terraces, and a position on the lake’s edge emphasize an outdoor lifestyle. Bunkrooms are located on the second floor. The main living area has a high vaulted heavy timber structure culminating in a glass wall overlooking the water.
