Our family requested help in updating their existing wine cellar to something more current. They were also seeking out a way to gain more space.

This is the recessed space we recaptured with the back light system on. The homeowner had us design it so she can easily change the light colors as the mood/seasons require.

We were able to reclaim enough space so the homeowner was able to have two wine refrigerators installed, a work station, wall racks and a stone wall.

When we tore out the walls we found some spaces we were able to reclaim for additional storage niches.

After removing the brick steps we were able to build a more space efficent stair system with wood. This gave us about 10 more sqft of floor space to work with. We did use treated bracing and plate material to help protect the wood against any issues with moisture.

We were able to reclaim space from under an adjoining stair system for a recessed work station. This also houses a lighting system that back lights the glass wall behind the storage.
