NORTH PORTLAND ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit)

This North Portland bungalow aimed to enhance its value and options by introducing an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) on its property. The dynamic addition will serve primarily as a guest house, but when unoccupied by family or friends it will be available as a short-term rental in one of Portland’s most desirable neighborhoods: the Historical Mississippi District. In a minimal 342 square feet, this two-story design features a kitchen, gas fireplace, and breakfast nook that doubles as a sofa and can convert to a queen-sized bed to accommodate slightly larger parties. Nestled within the garden, this addition echoes the historical details of the primary residence and enhances not only the value of the property but that of the neighborhood.

Services include Building Design, Space Planning, Finish Selection, production of Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
