Really like these stairs. Do you know what the width of the first step is and how wide the platform is. Does it drastically taper down? Thank you!
What is the stain color on the oak floors. Beautiful!
Is the floor Red or White oak? I have white but want
I love this color flooring, but if this is red oak how would I get this color stained in a white oak floor?
This floor is white oak quarter sawn and rift cut in 2" width to match the original flooring from 1895. I do not know the stain color selected to get the warm brown color- but we reviewed a lot of samples to get it just right.
The first stair tread is 7 1/2 feet wide and

Hi, do you know if the stair guardrails are glass or acrylic?. It looks amazing Thanks
for the stair alone. It was part of a larger budget for the house (new construction). You might want to ask a general contactor to give you a ballpark number based on the following materials- the stair stringers are blackened steel channels, the treads are stained, 2x12 solid quarter sawn oak and the
The stringers are blackened steel channel and the treads are stained riff oak. This a custom stair and the cost is part of a larger project cost. I don't have the cost for stair alone.

Hi, we're planning on building a u-shaped staircase system also and wondering how close your stairs are to the window/wall next to the hung art. used for the iron stair railing?
Beautiful stairs. Quarter sawn white oak appears to be the wood used
on the treads, but can you tell me what is used on the risers to allow for the curve. Is it a veneer that can be shaped and stained to match the treads? How was this wonderful
what is the wood used on stairs and what is stain color
What is the riser height and tread depth for these stairs?
It looks like quarter sawn oak with walnut stain.
It was thin solid stock white oak (±1/4" thk) bent to the shape. This is so it would absorb the stain the same as the rest of the oak. An oak veneer would not match once stained and would also not be as durable.

How do the building codes allow you to build a stair like this without a gaurdrail on the open side?
How was this stair constructed? Does it have a steel structure that holds the stairs concealed
need to decide on the width of the tread. Thank you!
We are installing similar stairs. The wood boxes were glued to the metal treads, but now the wood is splitting and
concealed in the wall? Does each tread have an interior steel support? Thank you for your answer, I am trying to built one of these and still can't decide which is the best way to support it.
Can you please share the thickness of these treads? They look like 4" to me, but I would love
