I click and all I see is my same question. Who made these railings? But no answer
install this railing. the posts were custom made, there is a metal band across the top that holds the posts in position as well as the wood top rail screwed on from underneath . No fasteners from the top help to keep water damage to a minimum. the bottom of the top rail was ploughed out to accept the metal band
Beautiful minimalist installation. I was curious whose hardware you chose for your cable fittings. My experience with the CableRail Quick-Connect® fittings seem like the most installer-friendly option.
love railing, deck, apron. foundation??

My house is 100 years old. I am looking to maintain the current railing that is 1 and 3/4 by 3/4 rectangular shape in wood or pvc any ideas? Thank you
f the railing gets any uv exposure the pvc will degrade over time. Stick with a good solid wood, like a sustainably harvested tropical hardwood where the water won't easily damage it. Maintenance is always recommended, reapplying stain or sealer every year or so will keep it looking great for a very

Idea for railing.... top stained while vertical slats painted?
kind of railing safe with kids? what is their pro and con ? thanks
the top rail varies by jurisdiction, some require it, some do not. A quick check with the local building department will determine if you even need a top rail. If the top rail is required by your local code or bylaws an engineers stamp may not do you any good. First confirm the capless railing is allowed
balcony railing for our boathouse....does this have an engineer's stamp because there is no top rail?
Thanks for asking about this design - we only know installers of glass railings in the Northwest. However, if you google search for glass railing fabricators, or glazing contractors in the Chicago
glass railings in your area.
If you are installing the railing on your own, there are prefabricated options such as this one from CR Laurence that allow you to purchase the components.
