48" footings under all of pergolas. In the case where a pergola footing is installed in a raised bed or planter the 48" is installed at ground level plus the depth of the bed. In the image above the raised planter is about 20" making the total footing in the planter about 70" deep.... welcome to Minnesota

The front path should have a raised bed with a finished wall. The wall should be in the same brick as the stairs. The stairs treads, the raised bed wall cap, and the stair sides cap should all be done in matching limestone.

What did you do about the flower bed at the cedar fence?
Did you do anything to avoid dirt touching the cedar fence at the flower bed?
20ft leylandias ..I decided raised flowerbeds was the way to go...then I came up against neighbouring fences....I have added grass area also used some brick to support older wall .am thinking of installing some pvc fenceing along sides.i cant wait to see these flower beds finished and watch them grow
go ahead and let the back cap edge overhang. Looks like you may have a narrow bed back there. I hope that helps? Looks like you have a really nice layout and materials going on. Keep up the good work!
The raised bed is free standing so no soil is up against the fence. There is no cap on that
