If you're serious about wanting a copper sink, try Masterpiece sinks. I know they do custom work ( ... ). You might also want to consider a marble or soapstone

every few months with denatured alcohol. In between, a quick swipe with some wet paper towel (a little dish soap if there is something sticky) and you're good to go. Fingerprints are never really an issue. I love the look. The feeling of this new leather finish kinda creeps me out for some reason. LOL

One square board foot is 1"x12x12. You might want to re-check your numbers. 3.5X6=21. If your countertop butcher block is 2" thick then you have only 42 sqft. I am building one for my customer (3x6) out of
x 10" x 12' or so, and I'm thinking I could copy your idea: what did you do to clean your boards up? Scrub with soap and water? Sand-blast? Did you re-plane them, or scrub them? t&g them?
