Hi livn4jc! The stain on this Reclaimed Chestnut cabinetry is our Honey stain, over which we have applied our Van Dyke glaze. Thanks for asking, and have a great day!
Kitchen--Reclaimed looking wood, marble top, subway tiles, open wood shelving
Like white subway tile with dark grout mixed with wood. Don't like wood on cabinets. Too rustic
getting closer, with a warm oak wood and soft white combination, and thinner shelves (not blocky like ikea)
tile, floating shelves, contrast white and warm wood
shelves crafted from chestnut wood house everyday dishes. This open area balances out the other wood cabinetry and provides a light space between the windows.

Antique Reclaimed French Terracotta Oak Floor Inlay
Antique Reclaimed French Terracotta Oak Floor Inlay
These are 6" square French Terracotta "Tomettes" from the Provence region installed with a reclaimed barn oak pickets from Pennsylvania in a kitchen in Charlotte, NC.
For ceramic tile they say use concrete backer board, for wood floors they say use wood underlament. If we use concrete we cannot nail wood into it for the dividing pieces of wood. So we have to use the wood, but they say then you risk breaking tiles. What floor surface do you use
different combination with the wood rather than terra cotta
What grout do you use between the 4 points of the pickets? Do you seal the wood before grouting??
this floor but using standard ceramic tile, 6" sq suares, 4 squares together. Tile is only 1/4" thick so the wood would be 3/8 thick wood. Using real wood is this too thin? Can this be done?

Music Barn
this is reclaimed barn wood. great stone too.
barn home renovation. natural wood exterior. blends
lookout up top, reclaimed lumber, stone on bottom, charming
more contrast in colors for exterior- like the idea of old wood with new brick or old brick with new wood
I like this natural weathered wood as an alternative to barn red.
love the layers of stone and wood and how it is built into a hill
If you prefer to hark back to a time when woods were left bare, an updated rustic country house might be the way to go. The combination of unpainted wood amid a vast sea of forest is a classic look that says country without the twang.

i am interested in the floors as well. They look like pine, and I just love them, but I have heard this wood is too soft to be in a home with lots of traffic. Do you have any comments on this? thank you so much

Traditional use of reclaimed barn wood
Like different colored wood floor for cabinet idea
When working with aged woods and metals, elevate the visual dimension by using different species and types. In this kitchen, several different woods paired with bronze fixtures provide a variety of elements to hold interest.
