Is there also a fireplace inside the screened in porch?
No, the fireplace is not double sided. We looked at that option but it would have required major modifications to the existing screened porch and the fireplace would have needed to be another 4+ feet taller to clear the porch roof and meet code. Ultimately to expensive.

The screened entrance is very appealing.
screen provides privacy deck at front
Wall screens add privacy to the open floor plan

1. Float Along. Modestly sized, mid-century modern homes were often light, thin and screen-like and would only gently touch the earth. More often than not these homes had an impermanent quality that belies their intrinsic ability to do more with less.
An innovative use of materials allowed creative expressions of common and otherwise uninteresting elements in midcentury architecture. Notice the screen applied to this Texas house. This simple element extends a living space and gives the exterior visual interest.

Houzz user kgibbs says of this sunroom, "The polycarbonate clear roof is holding up very well here in frigid, snowy Minnesota. It's an unheated, screened porch that we are able to use from about April till November. We sleep out there whenever we can — that's a wrought iron trundle bed under the deck
