What is the cement stair riser created with? Cement board???
less "rigid" looking. A softer color, or real poured concrete, or perhaps a tile? might look better. But perhaps this is cheaper? What if we stained backer board (durability?) From the architect for this photo: the "cement" is actually a material called VIROCK..which is a composite cement-wood board
