Rock wall made with "brick" style - casual feel
Path lighting for walkway and rear steps along raised garden
Rock work steps - from garage pad to garden
things simple. Sometimes all that's needed are light fixtures alongside the steps. The style of these outdoor lights fits in well with the overall garden, so they're equally decorative during daylight hours.

Rooftop Haven
Mexican Beach pebbles...commonly available at landscape supply shops (possibly even big box hardware store with garden center).
I like the planters with the stones but different plants - like the ones at W Residences and shinny rocks

Boxed garden with bamboo would add privacy for the roof and beautiful white noise of the leaves to drown out the Dhaka cacophony.

is built with precast concrete pavers manufactured by Arto. You can purchase them from The Tile Room in West Los Angeles. The gravel is 3/4" crushed rock. You can find this at Bourget Brothers in Santa Monica.
Love the use of pavers and loose rock...easy maintenance, but still "soft"

Nice small Garden fits in with my plans
as supporting backdrop for a projected glass window bay. The wall has openings where needed for the interior to extend outside towards that amazing garden room.

Typical Residential Projects
How do you prevent the water from freezing during winter and protect the fountain?
What kind of basin and recirculation mechanism is under those pots? I'd love to add something like this to my garden/patio, but I'm unsure how the water recirculates in this feature.

bearing on whether the plant will grow well (With or without river rock). Assuming that you are in an area where Pachy can thrive.... then I suggest one of two things. First, it might be best to scoop up the majority of the river rock.... and I will bet that there is plastic or landscape fabric beneath
trowel and probably slower to fill in.... as Pachy takes a little while to get going. If this river rock bed is in the sun.... forget about it and consider ivy or some other ground cover. The rock combined with the sun would cook the tender plants. Sounds like you have some work to do. Best of luck
