Hi, can you tell me the type of shades/courtains used here? Thanks!
Perfect room for the Silhouette Window shadings. Defuse the view when the shades are down and the vanes are open, have a full view when you completely take the shades off the windows.
says.As a rule of thumb, Causa likes to choose hues within two to four shades of each other, as she did with the throw on this sofa. The exception to this rule: monochromatic spaces. In that case the two pieces should be just one shade apart.

what are these window coverings called?
baggie2... I am with you on the Roman shades. I have them for my son's room and would never get them again. Though technically my roman shades are functional... they are such a pain to raise and lower so I tend not to bother. Instead I leave them
information. Our Roman shades are lined, but still seem flimsy. It's good to know they are properly done, but I would not use them again and would replace them now, but the fabric and wallcovering are no longer available. We need them for privacy or I would use the beautiful Austrian shades. You are right

at figuring out how to recreate a new look, and they can often help you source the fabric, as well. If you want to buy your shades and draperies ready-made, we like The Shade Store, a catalog company that has some contemporary offerings (www.theshadestore.com).
most of the window treatments that you see in our Houzz projects are custom made for our clients in a local workshop. If you would like the same look, I recommend that you ask around to find the best sewing workshop in your area, and then take that workshop a photograph of the window treatment that

I love this shade, beautiful! Could you tell me who makes them, or who the fabric is by? Thank you!

a softer look when pulled up partway. This would be lovely with shades that start at the top of arch-shaped windows, especially when the shades are pulled up just a little to create this balloon-bottom effect

your ceiling purple is a bold move, but in this room it visually lowers the ceiling to make the space feel more cozy, while all the varying shades of cool and warm purple tie the whole space together.Paint pick: Forget Me Not by Sherwin-Williams
Floor-to-ceiling drapes stand up to the 12' ceilings in the library. "Window treatments have two responsibilities," Bruckstein says. "They need to be functional for the client’s needs, and they need to accentuate the space. We needed something to balance the height of the built-ins."
