set in a basketweave pattern which is juxtaposed by cherry bead board on either side. The use of a variety of natural materials lends itself to the rustic style, while the cabinetry style, decorative light fixtures, and open layout provide the space with a contemporary twist. area located off of the main kitchen and dining room creates a great space for additional entertaining and storage. Character cherry cabinetry, tiger wood hardwood flooring, and dry stack running bond slate backsplash make bold statements within the space. The island top is a 3" thick Brazilian cherry
Love the stone and wood cabinet look! Are these hickory cabinets and how has the backsplash been to clean?

What kind of wood was used to build this deck? Stained? Pickled?
This rusted steel bowl fits the rustic charm of this wide deck and rattan rocking chairs. Tip 5: Even though you'd like to spend more time rocking and less time building the fire, never use accelerants like charcoal lighter fluid or gasoline to light the fire.

Is this just regular wood slats or is this acoustic wood panelling?
We are looking to incorporate acoustic wood panelling into a 2 storey great room design. Thanks!
What type of wood are the floors?
Hi the question was asked before with no answer. Pls tell what type of wood on floor and what colour. If possible who is manufacturer. THX
I also want to know what the fireplace surround is made of. I love the feel of the linear wood linew carrying over head. What is the wood?
could you please tell me what kind of wood is used for the paneling and the floor - ideally manufacturers as well. Thanks so much for your help
In this room, the vertical wood adds height to the ceiling, continuity with the ceiling, and beautifully creates the fireplace focal point. If the wood were horizontal on the wall, it simply would lose the impact. Great design!

Where do you get wood slabs like the one on the island? Very interesting. LOVE IT!
what is the natural wood sealed with? is it safe for food prep?
What kind of wood is this?
the maintenance on this wood island? Does it need to be resealed regularly?
The slab for this Island was produced by Charles Pyle at Woodchuck.com. You can email Chuck at WC@charlesPyle.com or go to his website at CharlesPyle.com. This particular slab and much of the wood in his lumber yard is from
'one of a kind' Chuck is an excellent starting point. Here is another slab out of 3" thick curly redwood Chuck produced in conjunction with Santa Cruz Wood.
Here's a Houzz article on that very topic! http://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/37284/list/Waterlox-Rocks-on-Wood-Countertops
