The floor is absolutely perfect the way it is. love the patina and the aged look. Exactly what I am looking for.
It is actually pine. I painted it with 3 different shades of grey and then put a water based sealer on it. That was 13 years ago. We have 3 dogs and the floor gets so much traffic that
spots. The floor was actually patched together - you can see that the floorboards on the right had been polyeurathaned before. The lighter ones are the replacements that had never been finished except for this paint job. Sometimes I wish I could re-paint it but there is never time when there is no activity
