style.
Rustic woods and equally rustic finishes are a notable feature of “Mountain” architecture. A massive, stone fireplace is another definitive focal point. Furnishings are imposing and luxurious, design elements are grand scale, and natural textures and surfaces (stone, wood, burnished, metals, etc/)
blended. Rustic woods and distressed finishes are a perfect complement to “Mountain Resort” styling.

White exposed beams and framing. There is something about this that grabs me in a nostalgic way. It feels like a mid-20th century motor lodge like Clark Gable stayed in It Happened One Night. I think we could do some fun things with a pure white rustic
little more rustic going on with the different shades of wood in the room. It blends a weathered, lighter wood behind the rafters, a golden stain on the window and varying shades on the wide-plank floor. Don't be afraid to introduce a variety of woods and stains into your rustic cottage.
