Who makes the lights that shine light downward attached to stone columns?
would be hard to say what stone they used in the project. We can mimic it though by using our Castle Rock or Moose mountain stone.

work on the plumbing. Here are a couple images. We dig a hole, put in some sand to buffer against punctures from the soil, install pond liner, install concrete
it can't be expected to grow well in the 1/2" joints between the paver stones. In those tight joints is mostly the real moss that shows up here in Seattle
These stone pavers are Pennsylvania bluestone, as are the treads on the steps.

Do the stones go directly on the soil or do you still put screening and sand etc?
for prepping the ground would work here. Prior to placing the crushed stone and stone dust base did you place a weed mat to prevent weeds from coming through
