This pic shows a partial wall and moulding to create separation between nook and larger room. Can lightweight moulding alone create this separation? I would like to do this in my home.

Don't overcrowd your table. The table manufacturer should recommend the number of people that can comfortably be seated without touching elbows while eating. Each person needs
another seat or for those occasional larger gatherings.
