Consider these items:
A millwork company, cabinet maker or shoji factory (yes, there is one in the US) may be able to make Shoji, but do they have the knowledge and experience to tackle all the issues involved in make sliding doors work”
“millwork shop have the time to season the wood (acclimate) it as it is cut up?
Each time wood is cut (exposing a new surface) it causes the wood to react (twist, curve etc). Many times, if the wood is allowed, it will settle down after several days and a final straightening before assembly will insure”
