good fan system, but we like to use vinyl grasscloth looks in high moisture areas as a rule. This product is mold resistant but does not mean mold proof.
painting is just fine then tile shower area to the ceiling only
have a shower so my idea is panels half way down instead of tile, with a more traditional looking vanity similar to is one. I found one on pb website, newport style and I'm having someone build it in better wood and quality, unless you have a suggestion where i can find it. For the floor, my two options
