bathtub/shower area. I've been told that is not a good idea, although, I like the light.
Redoing 1950's small (about 5 x 8)bath and removing the tub. There is a window on the 5' wall. Isn't this a problem with a shower and moisture?
makes the shower hardware attached to the wall?
bathroom/shower, and the shower was intended for a mobile home (think CAMPER!) SO I have been searching for a BATHtub/shower alternative, but it has to be quite smal. This appears to be about right, judging by the # of tiles...This looks like it would work! :)
near the shower in the foreground. If there isn't going to be direct spray, it is usually fine and easy to maintain. I wouldn't do this if the tub and shower were one unit.

wood floor in shower, frameless door, color of cabinet
working on a shower floor or steam shower project, avoid tile with a mesh backer on it. Most are not rated for submerged use and can be a risky option.

in the shower is a Dunn Edwards brand color "Total Recall" the ceiling in the room is "Swiss Coffee"
There are numerous products on the market that will help maintain the mortar between your glass blocks. You could also use a diluted solution of household bleach on your shower periodically to brighten

steam shower keeps the bathroom open. Stained wood cabinets and marble floors are the perfect complement. The window seat provides a cozy seat in a sunny spot.
Did you form the shower base and bench....or use a tile ready shower pan product?(www.tileredi.com)
of the shower wall and the floor are both exactly the same honed marble set on broken joint.
This was all framed in including the curb. Then a shower liner was placed in the base.
is in shower diamond on top and square on bottom

MARBLE SHOWER - OH WHAT A VERY WET ROOM! These photos were sent to my by San Francisco Bay Area interior designer Kriste Michelini . Such an interesting bathroom concept and I think I can say I have honestly never seen this design arrangement before! A tub inside of a shower! Whoa! A tub inside a marble
marble shower! Whoa again! A big freestanding tub inside a glass enclosed marble shower! Wow! Smart idea to save space and to kill to bathing birds with one stone. Why get the whole bathroom wet and soggy when in bath mode...confine it all to one area...a glass enclosed wet room inside of a regular bathroom
combo tub shower area, the wonderful modern wood vanity washstand with its marble top, the boxy almost Craftsman looking sconces, and all of the chrome fixtures, faucets and fittings - the luxe simplicity of it all works. Hey Kriste, thank you for sharing these photos with me and COCOCOZY readers...a truly

Saw this photo years ago in the SF chronicle and clipped it. Finally getting around to remodeling my bath, and this is still the most beautiful execution of the tub in shower concept I've ever seen. Is there a way to modify it for a steam shower without losing the clean transitions
love the idea. I will definitely use this design for my bathroom remodeling. 1)It seems as though shower floor is sloped to center, do you have to glue/seal the tub onto the floor in order to keep it stationary? how often do you have to reseal it? 2) I am thinking of having the
the shower floor sloping down toward the wall on the right (wall which has pocket and shower stand) and will have the drain there too. I chose to slope this direction, hoping that water between the tub and middle wall will slide down with the slope. Would that be a good idea?
