window sill - I like this look rather than having trim around the bottom of the window.

Sill trim sets beyond the finish face of the backsplash. Would this be okay? Obviously you would have the other three sides of casing as well.

with deep sills? I have romans for a window in a guest bedroom with a sill approximately 10-12" deep. I'll place the romans inside the frame, but not sure if they should be flush with the wall or closer to the window. Thanks.

head and sill as a reminder that this is actually an exterior wall, the pocket system is as invisible as they come. Depending on the width of the opening and the number of door panels, these pockets can be quite thick (1 foot and up).
