Interior FlueVisible both inside and outside, above the roof, the flue (or stovepipe) deserves some consideration. There are two basic types of flue: single walled and double walled. Single-walled flues require a greater clearance to combustible construction
basically a flue within a flue, with a noncombustible insulation sandwiched between. The added layer of insulation results in a larger pipe diameter, but it also reduces the required clearance to combustibles, because it doesn’t radiate the heat of the flue gases. This aids in the draft of the flue, and the
trade-offs. When flue gases get too cold, the by-products of combustion condense on the inside wall of the flue. Over time this build-up, called creosote, can be the fuel of chimney fires. It’s dangerous stuff and the reason you’ll want to do a yearly chimney sweep.A double-walled insulated flue is basically

Fireplace Flue - is it provided by the fireplace manufacturer?
Hi- The flue is typically not provided by the manufacturer, but can be provided by the distributor. With this stove one orders the stove, floor plate, all interior accessories, the interior flue and the transition element from the interior flue to the exterior flue as parts of the stove
stove kit so that they all match are all made/provided by the same manufacturer. The exterior flue, flue cap with spark arrestor, flashing and the tie back to the roof is a separate package. The distributor and or your builder and or architect should be able to help you with the selection process. Thanks

It was a basic metal fireplace box. We wrapped the flue with stainless steel. The window is simply in the wall behind the flue. If you look closely you can see the flue inside.
This very modern house features a chimney that rises halfway up the large, double-height glass facade, giving way to a flue that pops above the parapet. The whole is carefully composed, down to the window within the chimney.
