Where do you get the siler leaf and how is it applied? What is under the silver leaf?
Debbie. Google diy silver leafing. You could do it if you had the time and pstience! I have done furniture
it is not wallpaper, it is silver leaf applied to the plaster finish
sorry for the delay, this is a plaster surface that we did a silver leaf on top
Silver leaf can be bought from suppliers online. I used it on a chandelier and it turned out beautiful. The leaf (aluminum) comes in very fine sheets seperated by tissue paper. The process is to have item clean, primed with a grey color paint (the kit I purchased had oil based paint), leaf adheasive
the leaf sheets using a brush, then a sealer to protect and prevent tarnishing. It is a messy and slow process but very worth it. I probably used 10- 6"x6" sheets for a small chandelier. I remember it being very expensive compared to faux silver leaf painting. Hope this helps.

Silver paint for dresser in bathroom
Like the idea of silver leaf on dresser.
Highlight a key accent piece. The deep tone on the textured walls and dark drapery make for a beautiful backdrop for this silver-leafed dresser. The block table lamp and modern art above the dresser enhance the importance of this piece by strengthening its graceful curves.
Never underestimate the power of your silver candlesticks in unexpected places, such as your bedroom’s dresser. Not only do they look lovely, but their soft, candlelit glow is perfect for relaxing

These totally hip homeowners love mid-century modern design. Since this dining area is open to the kitchen, we added the silver leaf wallcovering to bring the feeling of the stainless steel appliances into this room. We knew this room will potentially have food and drink disasters, so the Knoll chairs
sofa at right to be used as a split banquet in such instances. The hand-woven mohair drapery completes the room, and is a warm contrast to the silver leaf wall.
Is this wallpaper? If so, please supply the name. Or was this created by hand using silver leaf technique?

Master bedroom with oversized silver leaf pocket doors
...so I can pretty much add silver leaf to any doors? I want the same exact look of these pocket doors.
I'm pretty sure that's silver leaf, maybe not real silver, there are many metallic ones. Note the way the light hits the lower right door, suggests hand-applied.
