the rough texture of the natural slate tile. Be careful with this type of setup on a regular tiled wall, since lighting can showcase tile lippage and make a great installation look sloppy.Tip: Try to keep lights as far from walls as possible to reduce highlighting on tile lippage.

floor material, pattern & varying size of tiles is beautiful - have not seen floor w/that much size variation
grout lines using tile or other material since grout stains/looks bad easily. Thought there must be a rule that grout spacing couldn't be narrow b/c of expansion/contraction since I've never seen narrow grout lines. Is this not true? Why are most grout lines wider? Also have heard slate is not recommended
unevenness - is this type slate more uniform? It does not look uneven - it is beautiful, especially in contrast w/the wood. This is truly a beautiful application.
