It looks a lot like a natural finish with minimal to no stain. The natural water borne finishes are becoming more and more popular. The slate fireplace is incredible!!!

where can you buy this tile? I googled "Indian Slate Peacock" no luck
I found peacock slate on Flooranddecor.com. I guess it comes from India.
The floor is Indian Slate, Peacock Series. The wainscot is panelling made of cherry.
I love the slate look :(

request samples from the product you are interested in purchasing. This is not a difficult to slate to find and it might be called something different. Another piece of advice is that when working with slate that has so much color variation as this one i always order 20% extra so that if there are pieces

What is the name of the slate flooring (Main Floor) and where can it be procured?
^Agreed. You can buy this at any tile store. Likely an Autumn slate (which is an industry standard name). Could be a "California Gold" Slate also.

What do you use in the seams of the counter ? How thick is your slate? Can a slate front edge be glued to the top edge to make it appear thicker?
