good mixed with other types of plants. One of the bushes reminds me of a Loquat which I would love to have in the plan, maybe on the front or side yard? The leaves are so beautiful.

What is this thing hanging from the gutter? We just bought a Craftsman so I'm looking at pics to get ideas and I've seen quite a few of these things that look like upside down cowbells. Having just moved to the Midwest from Virginia, I have never seen these before. Thank you

a few simple ideas: remove everything from the small porch, especially the hose. Make the door central, a cottage charm door., it looks like you have one only it cannot be seen. Paint
and they could be as high as possible, thus creating more space for dropped jackets, etc. a lot could be added in the way of plants and paths to the small entrance, preferably a porch and path in brick. also the roof line could be heightened but the rest of the house roof needs to be taken under consideration
