durable is soapstone? Compared to granite? Maintenance?
soapstone is easily scratched however, so if you are expecting a "perfect" counter, then I would choose something else. I personally love soapstone, because as it wears, it gets a wonderful " worn " patina. I have worked with soapstone for years and I still love it.
