sunroom addition to our home in northeast ny with a fireplace at one end similar to yours. I prefer wood burning but am finding that code / cost issues limit us to gas fireplace. Is this a masonry wood burning fireplace and if so is it required to go over the house line ad be anchored o the home? Would
Beautiful room. Do the wood floors require a heated room?
I'm in the NE and have a 3 season sun-room that has great insulated windows, but no heat or a/c. I was told wood floors could not withstand changes in temp.
designed authentic, custom made traditional storm windows for the cooler seasons and traditional screens for summer. Combination of raidant heat floor, wood burning masonry fireplace and southern exposure keep this room very comfortable on cold winter days. Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free

What color is the paint on the island? And what type of wood? Thanks!
What type of wood and stain was used?
like it is "jazzed" up with molding, different sizes, and a pattern over the stove. What tile are you using here? Finally, what is the most amazing wood you have used on the island? Can you actually chop on it and put hot items? Is it exorbitantly expensive? Where can it be found? Thanks, Martie LeRoy
The color pop in the middle of this white kitchen make this Island a focal point, also the wood top make a nice mix of wood stone & stainless steel.
An interesting island color and wood top with perhaps a coordinating tile in the rinse sink inside island.
I love painted wood in different colors

Where did you get the beams? Are they box beams? What wood and stain are they? Thanks so much!
I am currently builing my house. Have same open concept with almost identical room dimentions. What is aproximate cost for wood beams.
I don't know that specific line item in the budget, but the cost will vary widely depending on local craftsmen, wood, and finish. Your contractor shold be able to give you a cost. Solid beams are easier to control the quality but usually are about 50% more than box beams. When doing box beams make
make sure you have a good craftsman that can hide the corner joints well, and ask them to provide a mock up section to verify you like the wood, color, finish, and joint quality.
