designed cabinet grounds the massive screen while concealing the components. The walls were upholstered and tufted to give a cozy feeling while absorbing sound from the surround system. A platform was added to allow for additional seating in this elegant theater. The result is a fabulous room to watch a movie

Sound Absorption: Carpet is a good sound absorption. I would use a sound absorption cover flooring in a movie room.

someone tell me if it is important to have a carpet on the floor in a home theater ? Is the sound better ?
Can someone tell me if it is important to have a carpet on the floor in a home theater ? Is the sound better ? Or would hard wood floors do the same ?
what expensive sound panels will do. Absort sound.
Hi , peg49. Yes to carpet, absolutely. While comfort is a nice by-product the main reason is it helps absorb sound. We also recommend using "sound panels" on the walls. We usually run a room thru our software to locate and optimize sound panel locations
Yes to carpet. It helps absorb sound. If this is a diy project then pass up on the sound panels unless you have a big budget for it. Most home theaters "experts" recommend sound panels yet they themselves have no idea on the proper use and placement of these

how did you do walls on staircase and big panel? Drywall? Panels?
The walls of the stair are conventional drywall construction. Panels of 1/2" MDF are adhered to this. Small hanger bolts with acorn nuts are used at the corners of the panels, but the secret is

media or play room. Installing sound insulation into the basement ceiling can help. Higuera also suggests using RC channel, which is a long piece of metal shaped like a hat when viewed from the end. Without a sound break, sound travels through the wood right into the drywall. The RC channel is installed
installed across the joists before the drywall. When it’s time for the drywall to be attached, it rests on the RC channel instead of the wood joists, reducing noise transmission. Another option? Surface-mount lights versus can lights. “Can lights tend to carry noise, so use surface-mount lights if your ceiling

What profile ( bead) did u use for drywall ceiling
Espejo I'm from NYC and I am developing a luxury shoe website. I truly love how elegant your design is and I would love to use it. I will send you the proof of concept before actually using it to get your final ok. My email is carmensol02@hotmail.com Thanks!
Hi - Great question. We applied two additional layers of 1/2" drywall in the stepped pattern that you see in photo to create the coffered areas. The drywall steps are then finished with a drywall edge bead in the shape of letter "z". This makes for sharp edges that look amazing.

How do you "sound-proof" the room with the carriage doors and where di
I don't feel that that these doors can really be sound proofed. Nut they are a great adition to the room! All of our hardware is very sturdy and durable. All of our tracks are made on site in southern Idaho. We take great pride in everything we do and that
even made a cherry red track!! The wheels on our tracks are extremely quiet and our end stops are rubber so you wont ever have the loud metal on metal sound! Be sure to visit our website at http/:www.basincustom.com or email us at info@basincustom.co
