How long should you wait in between the installation of the tile and grouting
I am not a tile installer. I would suggest you check with a tile installer. Perhaps one will chime in on Houzz or you can also do a google search.

Travetine.Making me think twice about it!! Also , does anyone know about putting a floating kitchen floor down before installing new tile? I am having old tile taken out and this installer puts a floating floor down!! He says it is a lot easy to level the floor this way. Advise would be greatly appreciated
If that travertine tile wasn't properly sealed at installation, is there a way to get it looking like that aga
one of the key features with travertine. The only advice I can give you regarding installation is to use a reputable installation company that will warrant their installation methods. I would be concerned if an installer is suggesting the 'easiest' method. How long will he stand behind any future cracking

#Plummer You are probably going to get different opinions on this question, but I prefer to install the tile on the wall first and then install the hood on top of the tile. (We did
did it that way with the hood in this photo.) Your issue of of uneven tile can complicate this, of course. We just finished an install where the hood was placed on top of traditional ceramic tile that had been floated about 3/4" off the wall. We would have been okay except that the tile didn't run
perhaps 1/8" larger than the hood all around. This is only going to work if you have a squarish hood and a skilled drywall installer, however. You may be better off installing the hood first and tiling up to it. Just make sure that you take a look at the back of the hood, underneath, where it touches

Ideally you would install a layer of 1/2" plywood behind the sheetrock wall finish, but we've also just used the "toggler" anchors that you can purchase directly from Rakks without any mishaps If it's a renovation project, I'd install the plywood for peace of mind. I agree they're
wide and between 3' and 8' long). We built a plywood base (2 layers of 3/4" plywood glued and screwed) and then installed the Douglas Fir on top with the same technique as one would install a floor (end nails and glue). The front edge was a little more difficult because we mitred the boards on the top

What kind of flooring is that? And is it easy to install?
A lot of installers don't recommend wood flooring in the kitchen, what type is this?
5” Kentwood/ Maple/ Pioneer/ Antiqued Strip I would recommend asking with a local installer regarding ease of installation. The onsite team did not have any issues at this residence, however every space has it's own requirements.
Sorry, I don't have that information....the final install was amended on site by the electrician. Rule of thumb, however, is to hang 72" from floor to base of fixture shade.
Thank you! It's recommended that drawers not be installed under cooktops. The "drawer" in the photo is a panel but is treated with hardware for aesthetic purposes only. I would suggest you speak with your cabinet builder or appliance installer too! Best of luck to you on your project! -Sarah
