I live in the woods ( oaks mostly ) and I have a new flower bed I want to plant this fall; it is in dense shade. The bed only gets dappled
hydrangeas flower well, but the blooms are protected from strong sunlight..... Shrubs grown in a woodland site not only keep their flowers well and true
back, on the left, has probably two hundred flowers. I planted it in 2002. See attached picture. Its flowers are not fully blue yet. They will be In two
and neighbours! The flowers also are quite extraordinary as the buds are the size of duck eggs opening to beautiful scented flowers during the summer.
