Did you purchase or fabricate the stair handrail and newel post top? If purchased from who?
stair landing with built in cabinets both sides of window
window seat, books, desk? on landing
Landing - I like that there is a lot of storage on the landing and a bay window opening to the outside.
is there a window going up our stairs?? i love this
Love this half landing stair with window seat and book cases.
Pay attention to the details. Details matter, even on a stair landing. One of the first things I noticed about these pretty built-in shelves was the wallpaper that backed them.

Is book shelf accessible from the landing of the stair?
Glass walls of stairs and fasteners
I like bookshelves at the landings of stairwells
Placing this library space at the end of the stair landing is another brilliant use of space that is often wasted.
Here is a library that doubles as a stairway. The tall bookshelves run across multiple floors off the stair landing. The glass floor gives this wall of books some cohesion
Library landings are also often wasted space. Give people a reason to pause by installing library shelves in the landing.
This landing bookcase is a strong design element. Look closely and you'll notice the shelves continue from the ground floor to the top wall of the landing. A clear floor in front

Great learning center and use of landing space.
cute idea for break in the stairs
amazing for a stairway landing! Chess anyone

Converting a large stair landing into a play nook is a nice solution. Built-in shelving, benches and a table create a spot that's made for coloring pictures or playing games.
What an amazing use of space! A large stair landing or an underutilized nook in your home can transform into the ideal homework
games and puzzles. A landing is an often-overlooked space in many homes. If you have an oversize landing, consider converting it to a nook for games or reading.
3. Set up a large landing. Built-ins are nice but not required here. Take advantage of that space near the stairs with a kid-size play set

Hi. What are stair treads made out of? Thanks so much.
There is around 5' of space from the desk to the stair railing, so the platform is not as small as it appears in this image.
nice use of stair landing if furnishings don impede walkway safely

and any project-related papers that need a spot to land.I tend to think vertical when looking for a spot to store my active files, and use hanging wall pockets. You can use the interior of a cabinet door or the nook of a wall.
Even a stair landing could be an inviting homework area.

new zone begins. The stair takes you from the home’s living area to a defined space for working, even though no doors or walls are present.

The second story sits perpendicular to the entry and holds a master suite. The solid face of the structure houses the stair landing and screens the master bedroom from the front of the house.

Beautiful!!! How much space do these needs need to reach the top landing?
for stairs varies from home to home. The height from floor to floor determines the number of risers and treads (steps). A typical home has a rise of around 7.5" per step and a run (step depth) of 11". Most homes have 13-14 treads so the footprint would be about 154" long by the width of the stairs (36"
(36" minimum). The photo above also has a landing at the bottom which would add at least another 24" inches minimum. You will also have to factor in overhead clearance..... 6'8" is the minimum.

wall and across the ceiling. The opposite "cool" wall is defined by porcelain "steel" textured tiles around the fireplace, black and stainless steel stair and railings, and plate steel cladding around the powder room (including a custom steel door that disappears into the wall).
