Love the design of the stair railings
two part railing... stairs with runner
white stair runner contrasts with the color of the wood and yet allows the spectacular pattern of the railing to be the real standout. It also helps answer two of the most common questions:1. Where should the stair runner end? You have a few choices. In this photo, the stair runner ends just under the
because that stair has an overhang with lighting under it. At the top, they ended the runner at the back of the top tread. You'll see more options in later photos.2. How wide should the stair runner be? As a general rule of thumb, 4" of bare wood on either side of the stair runner is usually aesthetically pleasing

replacing wrought iron railing in entry way
This would open up the feeling. The stairs, wood floors downstairs and they took down a wall upstairs at kitchen
wrought-iron railing that separates the middle and lower floors. I've been scratching my head over how to update it, and I love this approach. The glass panels preserve the same openness as the railing, but look sleek and sophisticated.
Love the stair rails. I've looked all over the net and can't seem to find them. Where can I find rails like these?
The railing was actually manufactured utilizing solid bar stock, stainless steel with a brushed finish. The intermediate horizontal members are a hollow tube stock with the same brushed finish.
The railings were a custom design for this home and were fabricated locally by a company that specializes
to the railing system. It is constructed utilizing solid stainless steel. The surface of the metal is finely abraded to achieve what might commonly be referred to as "brushed stainless steel". So what you are seeing is the metal itself without anything applied to it.
