Tile the stair risers. Add a graphic element by tiling your stair risers. Choose different patterns to make your ascent up the stairs continually surprising. Consider adding vertical stripes up and down your staircase to make it appear longer and add personality.

I would like to do tile on my risers. Do I need to build out my stair treads so there is enough space or can I simply tile over existing stairs?
Where can I buy these tiles?
Can you please let me know the type of timber used on the stair treads.
What type of wood is used on the stair treads?
Do you have to build out your stair treads to meet code?
here are the risers I had done
