The custom cabinetry was build to accomodate a standard depth refrigerator. As a result, the depth of the base and upper cabinetry were increased allowing for a large serving adjacent to the dining room.

The refrigerator sits out further than the cabinet because it is a standard depth refrigerator. A cabinets depth refrigerator is shallower but gives a more custom built-in look.
