the flat tiles, between the two strips of tile. We then installed the pebbles on that backer board, allowing the edges of the pebble strip to overlap the tile. We used shallow sanded grout on that area, too. Hope this helps you.
The pebble tile in this project was from Island Stone. They have several different colors and types. You should probably make sure you order a sample to look at next to whatever other product you are working with to verify the color. Hope this helps!
